Heat Wave (The Extraordinaries Book # 3) by TJ Klune

Heat Wave by T.J. Klune My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was the #audible version. Up front, let me just get to it - this is more of a love letter to the series than a real review. So if you are looking for a real critical review - move on to someone else.  As an ADHD reader I love feeling seen in the characters I read and Nicholas Bell (also known as the Extraordinary, Guardian) has a brain much like my own. I love him for it. He is messy, and almost annoying except he is so endearing. This is really the book where he comes of age and grows. #ADHDonthePage #WhyAreWeThisWay. We return to NovaCity for this YA, LGBTQ+, superhero fantasy (The Extraordinaries Series) finale. I do not like to give spoilers    so I feel like I cannot say too much about the plot here. Gwen and Art are Not in Love by Lex Croucher

A fresh take on the Camelot legend, this LGBTQ+ young adult romcom is funny, gripping and was the Arthurian remix I did not even know I needed. Honestly, I am always drawn to an Arthurian retelling but at first I was put off by the oddness of this book. Once I got over myself, however, I fell in love with all of the characters: Arthur, Gwen, Gabriel, Bridget and Sidney. I could not put this book down. This is a 5 star for me: so well written… I laughed, I cried, and frankly it’s what I really needed to read right now. I adored this book and would love to see a part 2.  Note, I did receive this ARC for free; this review is my honest feedback and has been submitted by me voluntarily. Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s press and Lex Croucher for the opportunity to read and review this book. ⏰ a quick read - because I could not put it down 🏷️ #ArthurRemix #CamelotRemix #LGBTQ+ #enemiestolovers #youngadult #NetGalley #StMartinsPress #LexCroucher #GwenAndArtAreNotInLove
