In Brief:  funny and cozy but spicy hockey romance. I definitely recommend this book!

🔍 ADD Ease Of Focus: 🔍 🔍 🔍  Random side characters with storylines that went nowhere… And 2 people have names that are almost the same. Maeve and Fable. First of all. WTF are these names. No One Uses These Names. And I say that as a Barbara. WTF. Also too many characters… Needed to have a boss and an above boss? Why? 
🌶️ Spice Level: 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ Just Wow.
🎤 Audio Quality: 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤  The audible was excellent: loved the detail of dual narrators even within conversations. 
🖤 Darkness Level 🖤 1 for surprising dirty talk. And also, MMC was a little bit of a stalker.

What I ❤️
I really enjoyed this, even more than the 1st book in the series.
This was touching, funny and SPICY. Loved the hockey rep, as always. Anyone that knows me personally knows I'm a major hockey fan, I especially Stan goaltenders.

I loved that the MC's actually referred to each other as grumpy and sunshine. Hilarious. On of my favorite lines,
"Give me one f--king kiss for the road and then I swear I’ll forget you." Swoon.

Oh and the sweet version of some those dark romance acronyms...
SMHBYLSMC... show me how beautiful you look _ _ _. 
Again super spicy, make no mistake.

What I 💔👎🏻
I found it VERY annoying was that the FMC was not called out by her friends for the biggest way in which she was being terrible to the MMC. 
Also, once again (like in book 1) there were odd details about some side characters -- parents of FMC, ex's, friends that were unnecessary to the story overall and/or not resolved.

  OK, first of all what I liked: I appreciated the characters and their depth, including the villains—with a few exceptions most of the characters were very multifaceted. The story itself was super engaging and a real page-turner.   What I didn’t like:    some parts seemed underdeveloped and rushed, particularly transitions in relationships. Also, unless I was missing some deeper nuances, it seemed a missed opportunity to pull in the themes of some of the banned books into the storyline.  Overall, I really liked the story—it was intriguing. I just wish some parts of it were fleshed out more. And that there was more of a point to the banned books component of the story other than to illustrate the main    female character’s strength and personality. Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone by Diana Gabaldon My rating: 3 of 5 stars 9/17/2023….I finally finished it. Diana Gabaldon has an incredible mind for details and world building. But…. I cannot decide if this could have been 4 different books about different main characters or if this story could have just started around Chapter 93 because TBH it really did not pick up energy before that. The first 90 or so chapters felt like an endless diary of day to day minutia that did not seem to have any big picture significance. And then to top it all off it ended on a spoiler!? The build up for which was only in the last 10% of the book. This was not my favorite book of the Outlander series. I am still giving this three stars because the writing is excellent.
